Headquartered in Remscheid, Germany and founded in 1945 in a humble
residence above a tailor's shop by Heinz Schönenbach, PARAT effectively
combines innovative technology, sturdy craftsmanship, technical expertise

Today the PARAT group of companies employs some 1,200 employees at
six locations. The company's traditional business of manufacturing tool and
laptop cases and bags has expanded over the years. PARAT Automotive
Schönenbach GmbH & Co. KG, with some 1,000 employees, is a
high-quality automobile industry supplier, producing convertible roofs and
molded plastic parts for the top European automobile manufacturers.
In 2004, PARAT diversified further with the product launch of the
PARADIDACT® Mobile IT Lab. 2008 marks the introduction of a suite of
complementary products for users of Apple mobile computing devices.
PARAT maintains control of the entire manufacturing process: from the
conceptual development, in-house design and tool making resources to the
actual production itself. With the most comprehensive certifications
available under DIN EN ISO 9001 and VDA 6.1, this approach has ensured
