museums banner“The PARASYNC was the final piece of the puzzle that makes the loaner iPods work. We knew about apps, iPods, ear buds, etc., but we were not sure how we would manage the charging, updating, and tangle of wires associated the iPods. PARASYNC makes it easy and tidy.” – Dr. Sean T. O’Brien, James Madison’s Montpelier

iOS devices are fast replacing proprietary handheld devices used in museums and tourist destinations audio guides because they are easier to use, have more features, are less expensive and easier to update content onto. PARAT Solutions offers museums and cultural destinations reliable and affordable solutions to charge, sync and protect their collection of rental devices.
PARAT Solutions is well-networked in the museum and cultural destination space. We collaborate with some of the leading content and application developers and have had the privilege to be part of numerous successful iPod and iPad device deployments at museums, historic homes, botanical gardens and other cultural destinations the world over. Feel free to contact us. We’d be happy to share experiences and serve as a resource to you as you contemplate “going mobile” in your institution.
Case Studies
Hardware Rental
Are you thinking of loaning iPod or iPad devices to visitors that might not have their own smartphone? Perhaps a visitor pays and unplanned visit to your location and didn’t think to install your tour on their devices. PARASYNC lets you charge and sync 20 iPod touch devices for the perfect checkout system. Connect multiple docks to support even more devices!
Protective Cases
Designed expressly for museums and tourist destinations, protective cases cover the home button on the iPod touch, iPad mini and iPad Air so visitors will find it a challenge to change device settings. These cases are made of impact resistant ABS and include a convenient lanyard. They have been verified for use with the PARASYNC Charge and Sync Dock for iPod so you don’t have to remove the device from the case when docking.
Note: cases must be left on the devices on when used with the dock. The use of an unsheathed iPod in a PARASYNC created for the recommended case can damage the pin connector and is not supported.
