1. Does PARASYNC work with a PC?

Because PARASYNC uses its own UL-listed power supply it  does not need to be tethered to a host computer to
charge all 20 docked devices.  It charges all 20 docked devices regardless if you use it with a Mac or PC .

However, syncing is a different story.  We recommend using PARASYNC with a Mac running OS 10.4 or higher.
Here's why:

On a Mac, iTunes recognizes and syncs content to all 20 docked devices.  With a Mac iTunes can even recognize
and sync to multiple PARASYNC docks (with over 100  iPod or iPhone devices showing up in iTunes at once)!  We
do this with museums, tourist destinations and resorts all around the world.

On a PC,  iTunes is only able to sync to 6 - 8 devices at once.  This holds true regardless of the system or product
that you might use to connect the devices to your PC running iTunes.  With that said, there are PC users that
absolutely love PARASYNC because they can conveniently charge all 20 docked devices at a time and sync with
the PARASYNC populated with 8 devices at a time.

2. Can I sync apps with PARASYNC?

Yes.  Free and self-produced apps may be downloaded to your library once and then synced to any number of
devices.  When syncing paid apps, we strongly recommend consulting and adhering to the developer's terms and
conditions to be sure that you are not in violation of copyright protection.  See Apple iTunes Store
Terms and
Conditions.

Educational institutions can purchase Volume Vouchers to install and distribute apps to multiple devices.  The
program also allows developers to offer special pricing for purchases of 20 apps or more.

Read more about the
App Store Volume Purchase Program.

3. Does PARASYNC sync to all devices at once?

Yes it does.  Here's how:

    1. Connect each iPod player to the Mac. (You might connect devices individually as it is easy to initially
become confused and lose sight of devices when they are all connected to the dock and show up in
    iTunes).
    2. Using Setup Assistant in iTunes, name and register each device.
    3. Check each iPod for updates.
    4. In Summary Tab check:
           - For iPod classic and nano: “Only sync checked items”
           - For iPod touch: “Open iTunes when this iPod is connected” and “Only sync checked items”
    5. Select playlists in each content tab (Music, Movies, Podcasts, etc) that you want the devices to
    automatically sync to when docked.

Checking these playlists ensures that devices assume the desired content profile each time a playlist is updated
with new content or has content removed.

4. What is the difference between "syncing" and "cloning" content?

Syncing content using iTunes protects copyrighted content.  Cloning content using a third party software solution
takes the content from one iPod device and copies it directly onto the other devices.  In addition to the glitches
such software are known to have
it is illegal to clone copyright-protected content.  PARASYNC was designed to
use iTunes as a native application that iPod users are familiar with and trust.

5. How long does it take to synchronize content to all of my devices?

The following times are common when syncing 20 devices with a Mac using the PARASYNC:

    - 1GB of content takes approximately 20 minutes
    - 2GB of content takes approximately 35 minutes

Individual results may vary depending on the model, device generation and the type of content.

6. Does PARASYNC work with any iPod or iPhone device?

PARASYNC functions with iPod nano, classic, touch and iPhone.  We only configure docks with all 20 slots
accommodating the same iPod or iPhone device.  This is because PARASYNC features an engineered support
insert with slots customized to the shape of the individual device to ensure smooth docking and provide optimal
protection.

Contact us or see also PARASYNC Features for more information.

7. How long is PARASYNC's warranty?

PARASYNC comes with a 1 year warranty.

8. Why must I use the PARAT recommended cases?

Our recommended cases have been verified for use in your PARASYNC with three primary considerations in
mind: case thickness, bottom clearance and friction.  Please visit our
case overview for more detailed information.

9. What is so special about the iSee Museum Case?

The iSee Museum Case covers the home button on the iPod touch so museum and destination visitors will find it
a challenge to change device settings making administration of rentals that much easier.  It is the only way to
"lock" a user into a specific podcast or app.

10. Does PARASYNC come with a cart or carrying case?

PARASYNC was specifically designed with a compact footprint so that it could be flexibly deployed as a table-top
station, in an existing transport cart or stowed discretely in nearly any type of cabinet or drawer for safekeeping.
With that said, we do offer North American customers an optional
security enclosure and customized carts.
